STUDENT ABSENCE REPORTING PROCEDURE

Procedure for reporting an absences requires the parent/guardians listed in PowerSchool must notify the Attendance Office by completing this absence form within 48 hours of the day that the student is absent. Click here for student absence form.

Extended Absence (3 or more days) If you know that your student is going to miss 3 or more days of school for family travel, a personal event, non-school sanctioned event, etc...click here for a copy of the extended absence form. Parent/student must fill out the extended absence form and return to their class office.

Athletics Attendance A student athlete is expected to attend classes at all times. If a student athlete is not in class, then the student will NOT be allowed to practice or compete on that day. For questions about athletic eligibility and attendance, please contact our Athletics Department at (734) 994-2075.

HHS National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists

Congratulations to our River Rats! Haein Bae, Pierce Cai, Victoria Dang, William He, Jiaqi Huang, Kyle Johnson, Desmond Kartha, Jayeun Lee, Dimitri Meder, Sean Miao, Violet Neau, Madeline Pale, Siddhant Pandit, Tanay Panja, Satvika Ramanathan, Tejasvi Ramanathan, Bhaavna Senthil Kumar, Asia Shi, Jessica Wu. High School students entered the annual National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Semi-Finalists and will have the opportunity to continue in the competition. To become a Finalist, the Semi-Finalist and his or her high school must submit a detailed scholarship application. They provide information about the academic record of the Semi-Finalist, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment and honors and awards received. A Semi-Finalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, write an essay and earn SAT scores that confirm the student's earlier performance on the qualifying test. National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) Each year's PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to a particular year's competition. Registration for the test is by high school rather than individual students. All Juniors are signed up automatically.
